It's that time of year right now where everyone seems to be stuck in a rain-spattered, grey hued limbo somewhere between crisp, fresh autumn days and the warmth of christmassy December. These wet, grey and brown days have given me little inspiration for capturing images. It has been especially difficult to get a cheery photo seeing as it is now officially night-time by 4pm. However, I planned an evening trip to the Brighton Marina in the hope for inspiration, and found that there is nothing more ominous and atmospheric than the sea by night, especially when the darkness is contrasted by bursts of strong artificial lights from the harbour. So the freezing cold trip to the Marina was worth it in the end and has given me ideas for some more night-time shots.
